Success stories | User List | Test Drive PlantWeb

Whether you run a large integrated facility or a stand-alone mill, Test Drive PlantWeb shows how PlantWeb field-based architecture drives down capital and engineering costs related to instrumentation and control.

The default pulp and paper model includes the most common process of a modern integrated pulp and paper site- including pulping, recovery, bleaching, papermaking and waste treatment. You'll see typical project engineering and start-up savings and how PlantWeb achieves them compared to traditional DCS architecture.

You change the inputs in this model--labor rates or wire length, for example--to see how PlantWeb cuts the costs as the variables change.

You can also edit this model to resemble your mill or one you may have in mind. You can add or subtract process areas, process units, and individual field devices. For instance, at the plant level, you might want to add another bleaching area, then at the area level you can add or subtract bleach stages. Within a bleach stage, you can adjust the number of specific field devices associated with that unit.

As you make adjustments to your virtual mill, Test Drive PlantWeb will continuously recalculate your savings.
